While every effort has been made to ensure accuracy, please note that this calculator is for informational purposes only and Yomly is not liable for any differences that may arise in actual settlements. For a deeper understanding of the rules, exemptions, and case-specific scenarios, we recommend reviewing our comprehensive guide on UAE Gratuity Calculation. We have updated the attached guide for 2026.

Gratuity is based on the last drawn basic salary, with 21 days of pay per year for the first five years of service and 30 days of pay per year thereafter. The total is capped at 24 months of basic salary.

No. Under the current UAE Labour Law (2022 onwards), employees who resign after completing one year of continuous service are entitled to full gratuity. Partial reductions for resignations under old contracts no longer apply.

Employees with less than one year of continuous service are not entitled to gratuity payments, regardless of the reason for exit.

Some calculators use 365 days per year, others use 360 days (12 months × 30) or 365.25 for pro-rating partial years. These small variations can cause a difference of a few dirhams. Yomly’s calculator follows the 365-day practice.

This tool provides an approximate estimate only. Actual gratuity may vary based on your exact contract, unpaid leave, and company payroll policies. For final settlements, employees should refer to MOHRE guidelines or their HR/payroll department.
